Job description
As a Designer, you will be responsible for creating architectural designs and plans for various construction projects. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and other professionals to bring design concepts to life.
Responsibilities
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup to create detailed architectural drawings
- Develop schematic designs and construction drawings
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure designs meet client requirements and building codes
- Prepare presentations and renderings for client meetings
- Conduct site visits and assist in the evaluation of existing structures
- Incorporate sustainable design principles into architectural plans
- Be open-minded and willing to help with problem-solving, the exchange of ideas, and working as part of a team to create solutions for challenges presented through the design process.
- Knowledge of current building code standards as they relate to commercial building codes, energy codes, and other associated codes related to the project at hand.
- Coordinate with project consultants including Civil, Structural, and PME engineers as required to complete CD’s associated with the project at hand.
- Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure projects are delivered to clients on time and accurately.
Skills
- Knowledge of architectural standards and design techniques
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software.
- 0 - 3 years of BIM (Revit) software experience
- 0 -3 years of AutoCAD experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Office)
- Proficiency in Abode Illustrator/Photoshop is preferred
- Adobe Acrobat Professional/Bluebeam is preferred
- Proficiency in Sketchup
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,738.00 - $70,083.00 per year
